Dear Bronte Officials
Thanks so much to each of you who signed up to assist at Club Champs this Sunday!
If you haven’t yet gotten around to it –no time like the present – here’s the form! Many hands make light work so please pitch in if you can. I am away this weekend – Ant and Neil will be there early and steering the process.
Club Champs Timetables (see here )
At this stage it looks as though the swell is favourable and we will run the full program. If we need to switch to the sand-only program, we will put a message to all on WhatsApp. Club Champs sees an earlier start for all Nippers:
1. Full program of water and sand events (7am marshal for 7.15am start)
2. Sand program only if the swell is too big (7.50am marshal for 8am start)

You will likely need a few more judges for each event – please rope in parents as you need.
Trainee Officials
We have some amazing parents who have done, or are in the process of doing, the theory portion of the officials course. Please could you teach these trainees as you go and make sure that each trainee moves around to gain experience at each Club Champs event. Some are named above and others are encouraged to sign up or turn up on the day.
Set up
Set up is quite a big job and will need to be done from 6am for the full program, and 7am for the sand only. Many hands make light work. Equipment required is here:
- Bollards for the sprint track and flags area are in the patrol store under the concrete stairs
- Bunting is on the shelving outside the patrol room
- Flags are on the shelving outside the patrol room
- Recording sheets and paddle pop sticks are on the table with the water safety sign in/cadet sign in boards.

- Waverley Shield: Sunday 17 November – see previous comms – all hands on deck
- Junior Ocean Swim at Bondi (as part of Bondi-to-Bronte): Sunday 1 December
- Sydney Branch Carnival: 7-9 February, Bate Bay (various Cronulla Clubs)
- Club Champs Round 2: Sunday 2 February (back up: Sunday 16 February)
- State Champs: 6-9 March, Queenscliff
