Branch Carnival allocations!
I imagine you have received this separately, but please see below and attached in case.
Officials are required to wear the Branch ‘Betty’s Burgers’ officials shirt – let me know if you don’t have one of these from previous years, together with your t shirt size, and I will pass the info on.
Essentials:
- Cronulla officials (U9/U10): 7.40am briefings in allocated areas;
- Wanda officials (U11-U14): 6.40am briefings in allocated areas;
- Wanda officials (Masters): 8am briefings in allocated areas;
- Please SIGN IN! This lets the Branch know that we have fulfilled our required quota;
- wear your old Branch ‘Betty’s Burgers’ tee or a plain white shirt/top + a hat and your officials badge;
- just in case: bring a notepad and pen, refillable water bottle and any snacks you may want (look after yourselves!);
- have your log book signed off by your section referee at the end of the Carnival;
- you may wish to peruse the rules of Nipper races if it’s been a while: see here; and
- Finally – officials need to be completely neutral. No ‘Bronte’ clothing, no cheering, and no directing / helping the kids or masters competitors in relation to the course or any of the rules. The starter will give the kids a briefing on the race, and they are expected to know the rules.
